As u have plenty of time so it will be better if u start doing the untouched portion - organic and the remaining maths part . I wud suggest u dont leave even a single chapter as in exams like ggsipu cet where u will have 50 questions from each subject , every chapter will have good weightage and to score high u cant just bank on few chapters .

bro you know that naa.. that in engineering entrances both 11th and 12th class syllabus comes...
seriously telling that this will only constitute around 30-40% of the whole paper...

buy arhinant ipu cet previous years book to get actually the whole idea of what type of questions comes in papers...

in chemistry now start focusing on organic chemistry as its the main topic (will constitute ~30-40% of the chemistry section) of the paper... and only NCERT is enough for chemistry (infact NCERT is the best for organic and inorganic chem)

for maths : master your integration topics and start studying 11th class maths also bcoz thats more important...

abhi kaafi time hai for CET (its in mid of may) and the pattern comes like this :-

Quote/Ask Question

50 question from each subject (physics + chem + maths) and 4 marks for each questions so 600 marks (200 marks for each subject)

and getting 350-400 will land you in top of IPU colleges..

most importantly read previous years ipu-cet by arhiant publications though you cant fully expect that paper will be like that pattern but you will get an idea how paper comes...

all the best... :)

ohhkey,  but if i leave entire maths as i have very very low confidence  in maths n i wnt to just concentrate d whole phy n chemistry will be enough for cet. yeah there is plenty of tym but u ol knw tym pass  so quickly, i want to just master in whole phy n chem will be enough for good preparation? ? ? ? ?

I heard that Arihant is fake (not an original previous year qus) still good for practice MCQ . Can i conclude dat no. which i got in arihant mcq mock test type paper as my ipu cet rank. because i want to gain some self confident as well as satisfaction .!!..

Al thought  its my first entrance exam i m totally depend upon cet n my target is to rank arund 800-3k , Want to confrm everythng  ;D

yups you can leave maths but your other subjects must be very strong.... (means core tak concepts hone chhaiye) I have seen students at my time that they have attempted all 50 questions of both chem and physics and left maths and still secured a very good rank..
but you shouldnt completly abandon the subject... itna padhlo ki 50 main se 20~25 questions attempt ho jaye...

and yes arhiant papers are fake but do it bcoz ... 1) It will give the feel of giving IPU CET    2) Try to complete in 2.5hrs and see the accuracy of your answers (yups its correct that 150 questions in 2.5hrs.. very weird concept... (so you can expect that what level of questions will be asked as 150 questions in 150 minutes)

yeah arihant ones are fake but still best for gaining some accuracy and speed.

Look for getting around 1-2k rank u need to score around 350 ...
chem + phy = 400
you can never ever score 350 out of these 400.
so u need to atleast try 20-25 questions from maths ,so that u can get additional 60-70 marks
and u will get around 6-7 questions from noob chapters like stats, probability .

Dont worry about CET!
Prepare for Boards well and you will be through CET easily!

Exam is in mid-May and you have boards for now, so better concentrate on them.
CET can be prepared in 15days provided you have a hold of board exams.
(speaking from experience :P )

Yups I agree, and one more thing, don't just practice the traditional MCQ questions consisting of numericals, also pay attention to the small intricate details of each and every topic as jab mera CET tha i felt, some questions were asked so about very small details which students generally ignore or most of the times think that it couldn't be asked..

So pay attention to each and every concept and practice more and more numericals as much as you can...!!
