[TUT] Hacking Routers for better speed.!
« on: November 19, 2011, 02:28:24 pm »
Hey guys without talking much about what i claim to check this out..

i won't be telling you how to breach ISP's because they are capped and that would bring troubles for noobs..  :xd:

Quote/Ask Question
I am using that ordinary MTNL's 599/- unlimited plan, and the speeds that i usually got is 80-100 kbps..  :at wits end

Alright my this tutorial involves some configurations and it goes like this..

 1. First log on to your computer as Administrator.

 2. Hit Windows+R and type cmd or open your Command Prompt/COMMAND.COM
otherwise.

 3. Now type CD\\ and hit enter

 4. Now type netsh int tcp show global and hit enter.

5. If no error pops up then its a good news for you guys, you will now be seeing a few entries, change them like this

6. netsh int tcp set global chimney=enable

7. netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

8. netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp

There's no need to back up your registries before you do this, it just reduces ping time on your network and won't do any harm no matter how stupid you were doing this..   :xd:  anyway, restart your router now or simply restart your PC and see the difference.. And if nothing happens in your case then sue your service providers, they suck.!  :tabthr

i said log on as Administrator..!! if it still doesn't work for you then this is not for you..  :P

if you're doing it exactly as i said then your settings must look as follows -

and if all went well then you'll have this -
