I am optimistic to the core. 2 world cups, in which India did well were 2003 and 2011. And they didn't go there with any great form either.

Bowling is a problem in the squad. No quickies that  could threaten opposition.

Quickies are not a necessity in limited over cricket. India's strength is their batting, if they get in form, bowlers will automatically follow.

sir in australia and new zealand ,fast bowlers certainly have a lot to do.it wont matter if india scores 300+ everytime,if their bowlers cant defend that score.

India should know their strength. Our strength is not quickies, though we have Umesh, Varun and also Shami this time. But India has always traditionally produced good swing bowlers. And career of most of them is ruined because we always judge them by their speed.

In Australia and New Zealand, swing bowlers will be the one who will make the difference because conditions will suit them.
