FEST Mania / Tragic accident at Robowars IITB
« on: January 08, 2014, 11:57:51 am »
Robowar, biggest attraction during techfest of IIT Bombay. This year this competition was held on sunday and during battle between two robots Dr. Golu and Mojo-Jojo one of the robots broke down midway, sending a part flying into the air and hitting the operator Saquib Shaikh. Operator is having multiple fractures on his face.

Saquib was rushed to Jagjivan Ram Hospital in Mumbai Central by his friends. However, he was later shifted to BYL Nair hospital as he needed super-speciality care. Dr Ramesh Bharmal, dean of BYL Nair hospital, said, “He has suffered fractures in his face. We are running a CT scan and other tests and will then take a decision on surgery. He is admitted in our emergency unit. The plastic surgery department is evaluating the extent of injury.”
complained the acrylic arena was “totally unfit” to handle the robot war. “We never expected IIT Bombay to take such a callous approach towards this issue,” said a participant from Malaysia. They, along with others, refused to play the game after the incident. However, organisers reportedly assured them nothing would happen and continued the game till late evening
An eyewitness to the accident at Techfest, said, “A projectile shot into the air when the two robots were engaged in a fight and hit the young operator on his face with high momentum. He cried out in pain and his face was covered in blood.”

Freedom of Speech / Re: Are Akash sample papers making our IQ Zero ??

I dont agree with they can be used for last  minute reference  , theese books dont even deserve last minute reference

the only use of such books should be to see which questions( I repeat questions only not answers =)) ) that have been asked and getting a idea about exam pattern.

I would never recommend someone to see such books at last minute cause if your preparation is not complete (which is the case every time LoL )
then it leads to some serious doubts due to the question being answered incorrectly or use of another unknown methods.

Many times i have myself got confused a lot because of reading it day before exam .

but For someone who thinks he is knows nothing( which compromises of the 50 % population of the class ) then then they are best and a reliable option to " just " pass .

I also think its the best option in this situation .

I also agree with some points
even some of the so called tailor made books for ipu contain error  and  Examination Papers we get are not always made by a sensible and kind hearted person .

If your aim is pass exam then these books are good at it  :-D :S

but if you want to gain knowledge from such books then May god be with you  =))

well i am a fresher this post i think is gonna help me alott.. :clap i hvn't used akash yet,but thinking to  buy but, heard about it from many seniors...that these books are sure shot shortcuts of getting good marks... i too want to clear my doubt regarding this..., should i buy or not..? 8-)

What i would recommend is if you have time download previous year papers and see what topics have been asked and prepare for the topic instead by yourself from a standard book .
If the syllabus has changed then May God bless you  =))

Are Akash sample paper and other such material making our IQ zero ??

We all know how badly students of our college depend on Akash Sample paper and other similar material and I dont think that now I need to prove that theese books contain many wrong answers and wrong concepts. :fuu

I personally feel that any one would gets more than 60% of the marks if one memorizes it thoroughly because the people making the paper also consulted it :P LoLMaxXx :rolling :D

Many students think the best and most reliable way to pass a exam is by memorizing such sample papers.

Some teachers also dont recommend them but what better and " smarter " alternative do we have ??

So can such material be a reason for lack of knowledge among students of IPU ?
What do you guys think about it ?? any arguments ?  8-)

Step 2 : Now it is "handle  with care situation"
Now you have to copy the Second Number from the last part, Number after the First Underscore ( _ ) , in Both URL and Images Name it is same.
In Our case it is 10100455456009301 , This Number will be the ID of the image , Never-mind that
