Yes, on campus placements usually have IT companies. But the mass recruiters like Infy, TCS and Accenture don't give preference to any branch. You may see that number of EEE and MAE students in these companies is less but that is only if students of particular branch don't perform well in their written test and some students of these branches don't prefer to sit in these companies. But there is also the fact that off-campus opportunities of EEE and MAE are best(ECE too upto some extent) with all PSUs and some private companies with very good packages offering placements to freshers.

Thanks...but i had heard from someone that in ip university only IT company come for placements....so ECE,MAE,EEE don't have good placements....

and what are the chances to upgrade to cse from eee if i choose MAIT 2nd shift???

Well what u have heard is actually true ! But these IT companies like INFOSYS , ACCENTURE not only recruit CSE/IT but also recruit ECE , MAE , EEE students in bulk .
So ,just take that stream in which u are interested ....don't worry too much for placements in colleges like MSIT ,MAIT .
It wud definitely be better if u give preference to CSE/IT but if u like ECE/EEE then don't hesitate to take them . BTW i think MSIT CSE 2ND SHIFT or MSIT IT wud be better choice than MSIT EEE 2ND SHIFT ....though its my personal choice.


Well ugradation is on basis of 1st Sem scores . To be frank u need luck along with hardwork to get through . And u can only upgrade to streams available in same Shift . That is if u are 2nd shift student then u can't upgrade to any of 1st shift stream .

HI thanks for reply and  i am really sorry i didnt post branch preference, how stupid of me.
Anyway i want ECE and at second option CSE.
And you mentioned second shift in the preference you advised what does that mean ? second counselling!!! or something else. please tell.

Some colleges have 2nd shift so that more students can study . In 2nd shift timingsof college are 12noon-1pm to 6-7pm . Except for timings there is no major difference between 1st shift and 2nd shift .  

At 6640 u would not get AMBEDKAR INST TECHNOLGY .
