« Reply #15 on: August 15, 2010, 12:26:38 am »
I had penned down my experience about 2 years back..just copying whatever I wrote that time..

8th of march...cant 4get dat date...
dere
were ppl around me and it was my 1st time, ppl had already given infy n
tcs...dey had dat killer instinct since dey had already faced defeat
twice...i thot i had gud chances but after seein dem dat morng i thot
may b not since dey all were gud and yet failed twice...everybdy round
me thot i wud get thru easily, dis even scared me more since i dint want
to break anybdy's trust...i knew it was my 1st time but u c U GIVE UR
BEST ONLY DA 1ST TIME

written test was round 11 o'clk...pehle toh
i was sitin near my frnd but den dey asked me to move away...ultimately
we both got thru da written...out of 260 120 cleard...gd ki practice
seniors ne karavi thodi si uske baad...dey said i was gud in da mock gd
toh kafi confidence aya...out of 12 9 cleard da gd in my batch...out of
120 77 cleard da gd...

uska baad i had my HR interview...women's
day tha and a lady was takin my interview...i wished her...she was
impressed since nobdy since morng wished her "happy women's
day"..5 mins and my interview was over...time was 3 o'clk...i
was asked to wait for my technical interview...dheere dheere time
nikalta gaya aur mera 2nd interview was round 9...after 6 hrs of waitin u
dnt expect me to b fresh...still ac room tha toh theek tha...technical
interview mei he asked me frm my trainin and stuff...i tried to answer with the best of my knowledge..lekin yes at the same time its not easy to speak up properly when you know your career is at stake...i guess my
interview went on for 15mins or so...fir was waitin for my
results...round 2230 we all were called in a room and few names were
called out...my name was also cald out...we all stood up and da hr asked
wat da hell did v do? where did v go wrong? i thot she was jokin and
wud giv us da gud news but she kept goin on n on...i dint wanna loose
aftr comin so far...but finally she said u guys can clap for urself as u
 have made it...
bus...i was on cloud 9...cudnt drive properly...hahaha

thank god...

Thank you Prabhat sir and Akhil sir.... :)
You people are really cool and this thread is awesome.. :)

Your stories are awesome, i read that so carefully cuz that's so interesting n there was no second thought in my mind all through the time...
Sir, but 1 thing is noticed.. That's "LUCK" ..
In your stories as well as in some many other stories i read, one's doom plays a damn role....!!
Prabhat sir ka naam hi lena bhool gya wo, aapki me 10.30 bje choda raat ko...
Prabhat sir ne 15 min pehle hi score pucha, akhil sir was the 1st to wish Women's Day... Merely a coincidence...!!
Its your luck and presence of mind besides your talent and knowledge that gets you a place to breath..!! :)
Akhil sir i have a question for you.. Like you said its because of Backlogs they didn't let you to fill up form..!!
So what basically went up wrong..?? I mean is that Backlogs results in a failure in fulfill of minimum percentage criteria or just backlogs dekh k hi mna kar dia unhone...??

I wouldn't say luck..I mean yes people do feel it was their day or something but then again when things go your way you don;t actually analyze how it happened, all you want to do is celebrate :cc ..
Yes presence of mind plays an important role in interviews and GDs. As far as my backlogs are concerned then I wasn't allowed initially to sit because at that particular time I had more than 3 backs pending. Actually companies came in feb or early march and by that time reappear results dont come out. So I had to wait but then again my wait was fruitful  :D

@akhilmidha
sir, i just want to ask you two que i.e.

1) Do the most successful people in the company tend to come from one area of the company, such as sales or engineering, or do they rise from a cross section of functional areas?

2) In your opinion, what is the most important contribution that any company expects from its employees?

only 2?you can ask more man..

1. Most successful?I didn't get your question here. If you wanna be successful all you need to do is work sincerely and enjoy what you do. You can rise to the top no matter which domain you work in. However it takes time for everything.

2. Your contribution..well all you need to do initially is to learn and deliver

dude had it been just about coding toh ab tak I would have gone nuts. Being frm EEE coding is just not my cup of tea. Yes coding part is also there if you work in areas like JAVA,.net,unix,client server,SAP ABAP etc etc. However you see you can run queries in PL/SQL, do functional work in SAP BASIS, SAP BI,Siebel etc.

So don't think IT is only about coding.
