:(( I'll have to drop a subject myself this year.

As far as I know "audited" subject isn't a backlog since you're getting your degree. That subject isn't contributing to your GPA either.
Technically it's not a backlog.

Once you have the provisional degree and transcripts .... the world is yours  ( seniors with such cases are doing fine) O:)

Just don't ask shit from "all clear" people . They have no idea and will only tell discouraging news.

Track seniors with such cases.

There is no issue with dropping a subject. In fact even some of the high scorers drop subject to improve their CGPA
University have provided you with an option to improve your CGPA so if you can utilize it to your benefit then its good for you.

You have to provide an application to college registrar stating the you want to leave the mentioned subjects for consolidated mark-sheet as soon as your 8th sem result get declared
And then its done and if you want to drop all subjects of odd sem then you can provide application before commencement of 8th sem exams (just get it confirmed)
And if the application get delayed then surely the consolidated marksheet will get delayed too .

and i faced this situation thats why i am telling you .

And audited subjects dont have any bad impact or are not considered as backlogs .

one doubt when putting my %  i put it like 79.7 but if i drop 3 lowest it comes out to be 80.5
can i quote without taking 3 lowest in account

quoting 80 + will give a boost although it may not even matter but still

That might not be possible in your case as you already have your consolidated marksheet with you.  You may need to get new marksheet. As when asked to fill percentage they ask for mean of all subjects. Still you should consult university for this

8-)
but in consolidated one thing is very strange
it mentions that for calculating the cpi they themselves have calculated using 3 subject less ie with 200 credit.

But what about companies where individual marskheets are verified ??? Now since I dont have transcripts or provisional degree (currently in  8th sem) , what should I tell people who verify my original marksheets with old backlog marks ??
