Transition from amity cse to msit cse?
Okay placements of msit is good enough but still droping an year for that is not a wise decision.
Let me share u my experiences now which I am facing these days.

I am also a dropper. I passed 12th in 2011 but took admission in the year 2012. Dropped an year. Now, I'm aiming for m.tech and higher studies. Preferably I wanna go for PhD also. I have developed an affinity for power system..

A few days ago, for campus placement purpose, my tpo asked me to register for a noida based software company. While registration, their appeared a condition that there must not be more than an year gap whil studying. Now, since I have already dropped an year after 12th, I must take admission into m.tech degree while im in b.tech final year. And after completing m.tech, I must take admission into PhD courses the same year.
You know it is quite difficult to get an m.tech seat at IITs these days. But now, it is a do or die situation for me.
I cant drop an year. If I'm gonna do that, after m.tech I won't be eligible for most of the jobs as I would have 2 year drop in my career.

My suggestion is, don't drop ur year for the sake of prestige only. It won't make any sense after 4-5 years. You can drop an year for DTU, it is completely worth....but not for IP colleges.

Let am give u another reason,
My current age - 22 years
M.tech completed- 24 years, 25 years if Im gonna take an year drop.
PhD- At least 5 to 6 years in India.
My age after PhD, either 30-31 years.
Plus, I have to get an elo rating of 2200 before age of 30 in chess.
You know by the time I will get my PhD, I would have lost my significant years.
My suggestion is, study hard for cse, do coding everyday and practice ur algorithm skills to a level of madness. Get into Google right after b.tech.
Placement wise bhi msit right choice nhi hai...both have Infosys ,wipro type company just no. Of placed  ka difference

I still won't suggest it. Amity to MSIT dropping one year makes no sense. Think carefully and calmly. Don't get burdened by your prestige issues or pressures. It is your career and you would have to live with the consequences of  it.

I would not suggest anyone to drop a year ,especially so late, because it is a lot of time.I would suggest to study and make sound cse basics so that you can prove your point in amity only if you have to,doesn't really make sense to move to ipu colleges for year loss in my opinion.

Yeah people don't understand the consequences of dropping year. More than 2 years of drop during  academic studies will make u feel heat during placement season. Companies generally don't let sit u for campus placements if u have more than 1 year gap.
Justice denied anywhere diminishes justice everywhere.
